Research And Design Of Distributed Workflow Management System Based On J2EE

Workflow technology is the core technology for the enterprises to model, simulate, analyze, manage and integrate their business processes. It can streamline the business process, and improve the competitiveness of the enterprises.The workflow management system is a software system which focus the workflow definition and manages the execution of the workflow instance, its runtime architecture can be centralized or distributed. This paper focus on the systematic structure and execution technology of the workflow management system, and proposes a distributed J2EE-based structure.Compared with other traditional schema, this structure meet more needs of organization.The thesis first gives introductions and comparisons with Workflow technology, WfMS and DWfMS,and draws analysis of the most popular distributed computing platform J2EE.On the basis of this,this thesis designs the framework of DWfMS based on J2EE,gives introductions to the design schemes of customer application tier,engine service tier and data service tier in detailes. Tomcat as JSP, Servlet container has been used in Web layer of the engine service tier,meanwhile, JBoss as EJB container has been used in applicaton service tier,and the system remote interaction with RMI mechanism and JNDI service is realizes.In this thesis, the database model of workflow process definition is given and JDBC technology has been used for database connection.It designs three system execute frameworks:system process definiton,process parse instantiation and process run framework .Further more the design of workflow model based on XPDL and JaWe,and workflow engine based on EJB has designed in the thesis,including the overall structure and interface class design.Finally, a system application with a practical project has been realized.
