With rapid development of the high technology , the scientific engineering project management technology has been paid more and more attentions to decrease cost, increase quality and insure schedule. The Shuibuya rockfill dam is the highest in the world, so its construction inevitably confronts lots of new questions and difficulties, such as changes of the material resource, lag or advance of the engineering plan. To manage and control the construction process of Shuibuya Concrete Rockfill Dam effectively, we specially designed and developed a kind of new engineering managing and simulating system by combining various new technologies and theories, such as management science, operational research, computer simulation technology, GIS technology and virtual reality technology. This thesis first expatiates on necessities of the report system design by introducing the Shuibuya Concrete Rockfill Dam Engineering Simulation System and analyzing the assistant decision requirement, and then some relative knowledge of report design method and Office programming technology, practical method of VBA in Excel and ADO database access technology are discussed carefully. Based on the analysis of report system requirement, this thesis designs the structure of report system and data process. Aiming at dynamic and expandability of the report structure,we put forward a new method based on the technology of VBA in Excel to realize the report system. Furthermore,an outlook is given for this type of assistant decision system, which forecasts the development direction of system of this type combining the active Decision Support System theory and Office expandable programming method.
