Report Generation Technology Research And Application Based On Web

As an important part of enterprise information system, report is a powerful tool for information browsing,analyzing and printing. Only with perfect report, can enterprise information system be a complete one. With its increasing usage on the web, it is doomed for report generating to direct this way. How to implement efficient report system based on Web becomes an important problem of application software research. Now there are some report generators based on web on market, but most of them have the problem in user definition and adaptability to requirement changing and can't meet the need of users.This paper is devoted to the study of web reports generating technology. In order to solve the problem of poor user definition and weak adaptability to requirement changing, the dynamic report thought was introduced and the dynamic report system model based on web was proposed. Under the guidance of this model, Nai De oil storage network information system report subsystem was successfully developed, which not only supports everyday report ,but also support user-defined reports. It can make user design web reports freely and has excellent performance in agility and flexibility.The main work in the paper is as following:①Introducing what is report, the features,development history,classification of the report, studying most of the report tools from the aspects of drawing,data statistical model,integrity,output,printing and so on,then giving a comprehensive evaluation of the report tool examine items.②Researching report generation technology on the web, from structure and functional characteristics two aspects, giving detail comparison and analysis to three kind typical report tools Crystal Reports,SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services,JasperReport.③Aiming at the problem of poor user definition and weak adaptability to requirement changing, the dynamic report thought was introduced and dynamic report system model was proposed. This model has excellent performance in agility and flexibility and can appropriately solve existed problem in report system.④According to the requirement analysis of Nai De oil storage network information system report subsystem system, under the guidance of the dynamic report system model, the report subsystem was successfully developed. Then the report access mechanism was improved and report performance was optimized.At present, oil storage network information system has been formally put into use, and the result is satisfying. The practice shows that report system which was development based on the dynamic report system model proposed in this paper is feasible,high efficient.
