ERP is one of key ideas in the modern enterprise management. It offers a good pattern through which we can transform the manufacturing industry from the handwork management to the scientific and information-based one.Though we have done some research on ERP for a long time, we still know little about Lot-sizing decision in ERP. We can just apply some simple models in ERP. Lot-sizing decision is closely related to the cost in ERP. Its improper use will make the cost rise sharply, and then affects the result of the use of the system. So, it is very important to choose the right decision to reduce the cost. However, traditional models do not take some factors into consideration, such as fund, discount and prepay proportion ,etc.In the dissertation I explain the concept and principle of ERP ; explain the research on the theory of Lot-sizing decision and analyze the defects of the traditional models; build an optimizing model and then compare the result with that of the traditional models to draw the conclusion that the model works and makes the cost up to minimum.The difficult point of the dissertation lies in analyzing the defects of the traditional models, building an optimizing model, and comparing the result with that of the traditional models.The innovation is that in the optimizing model I have taken some factors into consideration, such as fund, discount and prepay proportion ,etc, which efficiently improves value of the use of the ERP system.
