With the rapid development of domestic economy, people pay more and more attention to automatic management. Power equipment is extensively and popularly used in departments of oil, chemistry, metallurgy, power plants and industrial enterprises. However, the production processes are broken frequently because of the power equipment in operation damaged, which is caused by abnormally running conditions. Whether power equipment would safely run would directly affect on the normal using in the factory. Thinking about the reasons of safety and usage, Low-voltage Intelligent Integrated Instrument designed in this thesis enriches and perfects controlling and protecting function of low-voltage power equipment.Low-voltage Intelligent Integrated Instrument will protect the instrument running abnormally from damage and minimize the malfunction time and reduce the economic loss. The new protection system is proposed based on CAN bus. Various integrated control and overload protection, phase failure protection, ground protection, locked rotor protection and short-circuit protection are realized by the application of the single-chip microcomputer (ADuC831) technique and intelligent method. At the same time, in the process of the software and hardware design of the protection system, manifold self-checked error ways and anti-jamming measures are adopted to enhance the reliability and stability of the control system running at the spot. The protector parameters can be set by user so that scope of application is stretched. A list of corresponding measures of judgement for trouble and protection are presented with high pertinence.The paper adopts modular programming from top to bottom. The big function module is divided many of the smaller modules, and then the function is realized. In the process of the software development, it takes the user's varied requirement into full considerations in order to enhance the universalization of the software. The paper resolved the thermal accumulation value can be shown accurately in the LED.The results of some tests prove that the low-voltage intelligent protection and control system in this thesis can reach the design requirements and satisfy the application demands. It has worked in the factory.
