Intelligent Computer-Assisted Instruction is one of the application modes in CAI. It is based on the cognitive science and thought science. It applies AI technique into computer-assisted instruction through the research on the property and process of human thinking. As the storage to access knowledge in ICAI, Domain knowledge base is an important part in the ICAI system. An efficient domain knowledge base should organize and store knowledge in a practical and unified knowledge structure, represent knowledge completely, and express the knowledge internal relationship objectively. The current research on the field of domain knowledge structure can not realize adaptive teaching, as there're many defects in it, especially in that the single representation method only provide linear association in knowledge organization so that it can not adapt to human's wide thought and that the advisor may ignore the student's distinctive personality by study control. From the point of improving above drawbacks, I proposed a new framework of hypertext domain knowledge structure based on knowledge space theory on the basis of summarizing others work. Based on the actual situation, I improved on the knowledge space theory, proposed a domain knowledge structure based on double knowledge spaces, and provided an adaptive teaching process and a assessment in accord with student's personality. By applying the flexible grid structure, powerful data organizing ability and non-linear network character of hypertext and the adaptive teaching process of knowledge space theory, this framework can realize adaptive teaching, fully express student's character.
