| With rapid development of the computer hardware and software, various mobile devices become widespread, more and more complex graphics processing has been applied in embedded system, which makes the demand of graphics processing performance of embedded system continuing grow, CPU Rendering has been hardly to obtain satisfactory display. Therefore, a dedicated graphics accelerator designed to improve the graphics rendering performance, which release the CPU from heavy graphics computing, has become more urgent. Researching and designing graphics accelerator for embedded system makes great sense under this background.This Paper mainly studied two-dimensional graphics acceleration. First, the history of graphics acceleration technology was reviewed, and the significance and necessity of research was explained. Second, the paper introduced and analyzed the research status at home and abroad, and designed a general framework of two-dimensional graphics accelerator. Then analysis of the commonly used two-dimensional graphics acceleration of software algorithms was presented, some of the the algorithms that suitable for hardware implementation were selected as a specificaion for each module of the graphics accelerator design. After that, hardware modules were designed based on the software algorithms, and a general process of converting software algorithms to hardware description was summarized. Finally, the function simulation and FPGA verification were implemented, and performance was evaluated with compareing with other similar design at home and abroad. |
