With the continuous development of display system, the requirement of graphics generation speed and display effect is getting faster and higher. Airborne integrated display system is a typically kind of high speed graphics generation system, its performance can directly affect the pilot to understand the various flight states accuratly and timely. The pilots can accurately and timely acquire the plane's flying status based on the display system's excellent performance.Although domestic airborne integrated display system has been used in some aircrafts, but there is still a long way to catch up with the international level.This paper builds a high speed graphic display system with the character of flexibility, portability and extenbility for the typical applications of airborne integrated display.Firstly the existing high speed graphics display system architecture has been studied by the paper and designed a high speed graphic display system with the core of FPGA. Based on the analysis of existing systems' advantages and disadvantages, the host computer communication, graphic anti-aliasing generation, frame buffer switching operation and display driver have been achieved by using FPGA features of the high speed graphics display system. The three frames structure of this system could save time to generate more complex figures. Secondly, researching on the anti-aliasing algorithms for line, circle and character, according to the FPGA ability of high speed calculation and the requirement of graphic display system, a new algorithm was present for circle anti-aliasing and the display effect of its anti-aliasing was improved. Lastly, the typical characteristics of electronic attitude director indicator have been analized and a kind of filling algorithm has been proposed by this paper to meet the requirements of graphics display system. Combined with the rapid horizon filling generation, an edge flag to solve the external read and write storage speed bottleneck have been established by the figure display algorithm and greatly improved the filling efficiency.According to the result, the high speed graphics display system can quickly complete graphics rendering and anti-aliasing, but also improved the display effect and the production efficiency. The system is applicable to different resolution of display system and provides a feasible technical scheme to airborne integrated high speed display system.
