| Highway video surveillance system is the main method to achieve safe operation of highway management, featuring road safety and high efficiency. It ensures a high level of road service. As Chinese expressway construction started late, sub-institution-building leading to different section of highway have different skill levels. The vast majority of roads use the PDH-based highway video monitoring system. But the traditional analog monitor system have many shortages such as scarce openness, scalablity and reliability, complex maintenance process, and especially the difficulty of achieving a wider range of network monitoring. Therefore, it is necessary to design a powerful highway video surveillance system, which is suitable for technological development by means of mature digital technology according to the features of highway industry.This paper analyzes the status of highway video surveillance system and its research significance. It studies the key technologies for video surveillance MPEG and H.264, and analyzes the highway video surveillance digital standard option. Based on the practical principles of Highway video surveillance, it establishes the video surveillance system model and provides the function and structure of that system. By analyzing the Jing Qing highway video surveillance system requirements, it sets up Jing Qing highway video surveillance system structure, and designs the function of Jing Qing highway video surveillance system software. Visual C + +, Directshow SDK, and SQL Server 2000 enable video surveillance software, video data processing module, streaming media service module, an exception event alarm management module, video playback and download function modules, as well as core functionality such as video transmission module modules. It also analyzes and tests its function. Through testing and practical engineering applications, this system is able to meet the Jing Qin highway video surveillance business needs. |
