Abstract/Summary:
Presently, the combination of network of Telecom, CATV and computer has becomethe most popular project in the field of Network Communica tion, which is a big opportunityof the development of Broad Band Access. There are ma ny kinds of Broad Band Accesstechnologies. Among which, to make good use of existing large-sized HFC basic network todevelop two-way transmission business is very useful and able to save large cost andEPON+EOC is such a kind of outsta nding technology.In this thesis, a study of the bidirectiona l change of CATV network based onEPON+EOC technology is made and an EOC Network Management is designed . This pla nuses the EPON network architecture to connect corridor of a build ing unit from the sub-headend of the broadcast TV network and"the last 100 meters"from corridor to each home usesthe EOC. The program is proved to be the best program for that it has a large capacity andlow cost and is easy to build. The ma in chips of the OLT and ONU use Intellon 6400. TheNetwork Management System is based on agency model and SNMP protocol. The NetworkManagement System is able to realize fault ma nagement, configuration ma nagement,accounting ma nagement, performa nce ma nagement and security ma nagement.The whole study and development of EPON&EOC system was carried out in WeifangLesen electrics company and has been tested and used experimentally in some districts.
