In the semiconductor manufacture industry, the simulation system of the semiconductor manufacture machine is made of lots of single pictures. This kind of simulation system can only show the position of the wafer, but not able to show the movement of the wafer. In addition, it completely ignores the movement of the robot. Visually this system is unnatural.In this paper, deep research is first made on the features of the process of semiconductor. We discussed the necessary and capability of the use of three-dimensional animation in the simulation system. Then on the basis of the API provided by DirectX we discussed the method of making three-dimensional animation by key frame. On the basis of current research, we propose some approved approaches.According to the features and construction of control software, we make the analysis and design of the simulation system of the semiconductor manufacture machine. The system we implemented can render three-dimensional animation and simulate the state and movement of the semiconductor manufacture machine accurately and visually. The technology of three-dimensional animation based on DirectX is implementable and valuable in the industry control software.
