The widely application of high-definition digital television and the fast development of Web2.0, which is based on client producing content, bring a great demand of digital multimedia, especially high-definition digital video. The nowadays video producing method couldn't meet the demand, so a new-generation video producing environment is need. Cloud computing shows a new direction for the internet application and huge computing. This bring the birth of"Distributed Broadband Editing System with Collaboration Environment"research project from the national 863 program, which is set to create a solution for on-line producing HD video.The research of this paper is based on the transcoding service and the online nonlinear editing service of the"Distributed Broadband Editing System with Collaboration Environment"research project. The paper at first realizes a cluster computing system for the transcoding service and the online nonlinear editing service, and then the paper designs an online nonlinear editing server suite for the cluster computing system. While the client access changing from intranet to internet and the editing server changing from hardware or PC to cluster computing system, it bring some problem such as the information synchronization of the front and server of the system and a extensible effects library on a huge cluster computing system. The paper is to solve such problems.This paper contributes to:1.Realize a cluster computing system for the transcoding service and the online nonlinear editing service and an online nonlinear editing server suite for the cluster computing system of the project. The paper designs the two systems, their working methods and their each component, the paper also finish the system with C++ on windows system.2.Propose a signaling communication protocol using pre-authentication of enforceability of the signaling to save time in case of an unenforceable signal is received.3.Design a XML form Editing Decision List supporting multi video layer and alpha layer for solve the rich editing information synchronization problem for the online editing.4.Design an extensible effects library using dynamic link library and define the effects interface of the system, solve the non-stop extension of effect plug-in on a large scale cluster computing system.
