With the development of science and technology, Multi-view stereoscopic video technology has played an important part in people?s daily life. As the development of the capture, encoding and display technology, the stereoscopic video display technology has been an important future direction of stereoscopic video. However, since the multi-view stereo video itself is difficult to composite, with huge amount of data and hard to transmit, the corresponding problems about pre-processing, compression and transmission of multi-view stereo video haven't been well solved, which become the bottleneck in the application and industrialization of multi-view stereo video technology. Because of the large quantity of stereoscopic data and the limitation of resource for transmission and storage, we must give out high-efficiency compression algorithm to guarantee the regular processing of the stereoscopic information. H.264 is the new generation video compression protocol. It introduces new encoding mode under the hybrid coding framework and increases the coding efficiency. It can ensure the image quality on the premise of low bit rate. As a result, it is of important practical value to develop free stereoscopic information processing system based on H.264.This paper finishes the design of network topology of H.264 free stereoscopic information processing system, including the encoding, transmission, decoding, composition and display of stereoscopic information. After the software architecture design, we introduce the function of each module and their interfaces. This paper focuses the attention on the client design of the whole system and finishes the low level design of the client, refines the functions of each module and proposes the detailed solutions. Based on DirectShow platform, the H.264 decoder filter and the All-in-One Client are developed with VS2008 to achieve the display of commonly used formats of stereoscopic video. Because the encapsulation of DirectShow, it is difficult to make control of it. Therefore, the next step of the research is to try the method of display the stereoscopic video without the DirectShow platform. The experimental result shows that this solution can achieve a good stereoscopic YUV format video display effect.
