Soft Defined Radio (SDR) technology is a design idea proposed by the late 20thcentury. It breaks through the traditional radios which use hardware as the core ofthe design patterns and puts broadband A/D converter to antenna as close as possiblethat can convert the received analog signals into digital signals as early as possible andthen, realizes communication system functions with software to the greatest extent.The subject bases on such thinking and achieves the goals of the all-digital and all-software-based baseband signal processor with digital signal processing technology.The subject designs and realizes the baseband signal processor using the modelsystem-level design method, and achieves the function of voice calls on Lyrtech SFFSDR development platform. Main research contents are as follows: 1. Access to therelevant books and papers on Soft Defined Radio and base-band signal processingtheory and key technologies for analysis and research. 2. Focus on baseband digitalsignal processing technology for in-depth study which mainly includes the DQPSKbaseband modulation and demodulation, bit synchronization, frame synchronization,PCM coding and baseband shaping technology. 3. According to the system indexrequirements, consider the ease of implementation of various methods and resourceconsumption and design implementations of. 4. In the Matlab / Simulink, use SystemGenerator to design and simulate each module. 5. Generated code automaticallyby the model, download to Lyrtech SFF SDR development platform, validate thebaseband signal processor through the hardware co-simulation and real-time hardwaresimulation ,and finally achieve the function of voice calls. The test results show that thebaseband signal processor designed by the subject with good performance. It achievesthe function of voice calls and meets the expected target requirements.Through the design and implementation of baseband signal processor, lay thefoundation for the practical application of Soft Defined Radio and provides a commonimplementation structure for the baseband signal processing section in the all-digitaltransceiver based on Soft Defined Radio thought. So, it has a very important projectsignificance and practical value. When need to replace a new communication system,the baseband signal processing section only need to increase or decrease some part ofthe module and modify some parameters on the basis of the subject's design becauseof the reconfigurable feature, and then, it will be able to achieve a new communicationfeatures and a new communications system, without having to change the hardwarecircuit.
