This thesis takes the fans of entertainment reality shows as research objects, and makes ethnographic study on this group.The first chapter introduces the research background,defines the study objects and reviews the relative research work both at home and abroad. It also introduces the researcher's identity, research methods, theoretical foundation and research significance.Chapter 2 compares the fans of reality shows with the previous idolaters, and outlines the causes and features of them.Chapter 3 analyses the fans as a social group from Communication Theories, Economics and Semiotics, to reveal the social significance of their participation in entertainment reality show.Chapter 4 studys the fans as individual lives, discussing the relationship between the individual and the idol and the relationship among fans themselves.Chapter 5 points out the disadvantages of the fans group, such as their fragility, blindness, and easiness to be manipulated, trying to make clear their future trends.
