Abstract/Summary:
With the rapid development of the Internet and Web 2.0, blog is in rapid development and evolving. In recent years, blog is growing in number and size. It makes the traditional media to take care of the use of blog in the network. Bloggers want their blog to have a greater influence and attract more readers to read, and the reader would like to see high-quality blog. It requires that make an accurate and comprehensive assessment for the influence of the blog.It is a new attempt and approach to assess the influence of the blog by using social network analysis. The idea of social network analysis (SNA) can be traced back the study of Psychology and Anthropology in the 1930's. In the 1990's, social network analysis has entered a rapid development period. On the one hand, social network analysis theory has been further development, as Ronald ? Burt's "structural hole theory", Lin Nan et al, who study social capital, have a lot of research results; on the other hand, social network analysis techniques are more mature. From the disciplines, the social network analysis has crossed the boundaries of traditional disciplines. Its applications have been limited to sociology and anthropology, but rather extended to almost all areas of humanities, social sciences, science and technology. In the joint efforts of sociology, psychology, economics, information science, system science, and computer science, social network analysis has become an interdisciplinary research method.It is only based on the blog rating to show the influence of blog at present. And blog rating is obtained through numbers of visits. To some extent, it is not accurate to assess the influence of the blog.Above all, this paper proposes the concept of Blog Reliability, and the influence of blog is shown by it. Blogger's friends with links form a social network. We adopt the parameters of social networks to assess Blog Reliability, such as centrality , core-periphery, clique etc. Finally, we will verify the reliability of this assessment by a mount of data.
