Queuing is common in daily life and work, and the queuing problem is a complex system that contains variety of random factors, so that it is difficult to accurately describe and solve by a simple mathematical model or analytical methods, and currently the system simulation method is the most effective solution. In recent years, along with the increasing of business volume in the port of Qinhuangdao, the unloading inefficiencies have become increasingly prominent and resulting in a serious decline in port throughput.First, in order to solve this problem, we studied the port unloading processes and queuing algorithms. Our work was carried out in two ways, first is to optimize the scheduling management processes in the queuing process; second is to choose the number of service windows which is set by service agency. Two aspects were studied to propose a comprehensive solution of the queuing problem - building a port unloading queuing scheduling Agent-based simulation model. We propose a port unloading queue scheduling algorithm, and then analyzed and improved this algorithm.Second, the train, the queue and the unloading-room were traited as different Agents in the simulation model,and a management Agent was advanced. The management Agent was in charge of arranging task to improve the queuing process. The situation of queuing scheduling was simulated through the interaction among Agents. The management Agent not only reduced the interaction between the train and the roll-room but also coordinated the process of queuing effectively.Last, the research model selected the Repast platform and simulated the queue scheduling in port.The experiment and analysis show the system can simulate the situation of port queue scheduling actually,and it can supply references to reduce the waiting time of train and improve the work effectively in port.
