| As the quick flow of cash, paper defection can be easily caused, and people would like to use tape to fix the defect paper. To detect with automation, mechanization method about defect paper must be put up with. Paper currency sorter is the very important equipment, whose technologies are still quite new at home and abroad, to handle with paper after the invention of currency counter. Although the paper currency sorter system can sorter different banknotes, the recognition of paper defection is still not perfect. In this paper, a new method is put up with which aims to solve different situation of paper defection, and can detect deterioration, paper holes and abnormal thickness state.In this paper, recognition algorithm based on ultrasonic sensors and image sensors can identify damaged bank notes effectively and accurately. Meanwhile, different subsystem as control processor hardware design and algorithm are designed. Finally, communication links of the two subsystems are designed to paper currency sorter. The following work has been done during the development:1. Analyze the method of detection of abnormal thickness paper. Describe in detail with the theory of ultrasonic sensors and the sensing device in the mechanical layout of the paper currency sorter. Propose algorithm and hardware devices according to the principle of ultrasonic signal transmission technology.2. Analyze the method of detection of defection and holes in paper. Describe in detail of image theory of binary and morphological feature extraction method. Propose algorithm and hardware devices with DSP.3. Design subsystems to overall system. By introducing overall hardware programs and software processes of paper currency sorter, relationship of subsystems to overall system can be well known. Describe in detail of communications and link problems between them.Hardware circuit design and programming has been designed in real object .In this paper, dates support feasibility of this detection technology. |
