The Research And Design Of Service Discovery For E-government Directory System

Because of the limition of technology and resource at the early stage of e-government, each department has its own system and platform and this lead to"Information Island".This phenomenon leads to the waste of information resource. Due to the huge volume, divesity and heterogenous of information resource, it's difficult to manage and organize the metadata of the resources. The embarassed situation makes the national information market in chaos state. All levels government department can't locate the resource information needed, and this lead to the lower work efficiency. So we need an effective data organization pattern and efficient resource discovery mechanism to improve the work efficiency of government department.The Information Resource Directory Services integrate and organize the information resource of different departments through the directory technology and metadata to facilitate the searching, locating and sharing of information resources. The paper comes from the demands of information resource sharing, summarize the construction of The Information Resource Directory Services and related service discovery. Combining the characteristic of government information resource, based on this, the paper proposed a service discovery mechanism based on LDAP and JXTA.Based on the default service discovery mechanism of JXTA, a deploying solution is raised. The solution focuses on the construction of e-government information directory and publication and query of information. The solution proposes an information sharing mechanism based on hybrid replication; based on LDAP, it presents catalogue and classification of information. The paper also constructs the network for publishing, sharing and querying of information and enter/exit of JXTA Peer.
