Recently,with the increasing environmental pollution, the traditional methods of environmental protection can not meet the requirements of current environmental surroundings. As a new technology, pulse power technology has been one important research method of the environmental protection. The high pulse power generator is the power source. So the pulse power generator is designed according to the need of environmental protection. Meanwhile this supply design also provides a reference for the pulse power technology used in other fields.Firstly, the initial pulse charging system is analyzed. The design idea is explained, and the full-bridge phase-shifted zero-voltage PWM inverter is emphasized, including the comparative analysis between soft-switches and hard-switches, the switch device selection, the inverter operation modes, and the zero-voltage realization. And relate why the duty-cycle losses in the secondary transformer side, the setting method of the IGBT parallel capacitors and the dead time.Then the intermediate energy storage and magnetic pulse compression (MPC) system are designed. Through the analysis of its main circuit, the parameter calculating formula of the intermediate energy storage system is derived. The primary pulse is stepped and shaped in the reasonable pulse transformer. The three-stage magnetic pulse compression is designed. Its work principal is described systematically. The design idea of the magnetic switch is discussed in detail, which provides theoretical evidence for the PSPICE simulation of the MPC system.When all its component parts are analyzed, the main circuit of the pulse power supply system is designed. Use PSPICE simulation software to simulate every composing part. The comparison and analysis between the simulation results and the expectation targets verify the feasibility of the supply design. Then the hardware circuit of this supply system is created, which is used in the water discharging experiment of disposing algae cells. The experimental results are analyzed.According to the high power pulse need in the environmental protection, a pulse supply generator is designed. The simulation and experiment results prove that this generator can export the high power pulse, sharp rising edge and short pulse duration, which also offers a reference to use this pulse supply in other applications.
