Heterogeneous system integration becomes the key issue during the current information construction process in enterprises and public institutions. Many application systems are built in enterprise and public institution. They provide various services for departments and utilize different application platforms and databases. These application systems are often independent and have different information and organization ways among departments. Due to the features mentioned above, information sharing among these systems is difficult to be realized. While the traditional integration ways based on middleware or distributed components have high coupling degree, it is difficult to be expanded. So it is a key issue to decide how to combine the application systems and share the information more flexibly.This paper is aimed at solving the problems of application system integration. On the basis of deep understanding of service oriented architecture (SOA), Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and theories of Web Services, a service-oriented heterogeneous system integration frame based on ESB-SOA is proposed. This architecture is based on the J2EE platform and combines the technology of the Web Services. The enterprise service bus provided by this architecture is used as a channel for sharing information among application systems. Then the paper discusses the key technologies for these three modules. The content is as follows:(1) Analysis of the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) self-routing mechanism shortcomings, a rules-based routing mechanism is proposed, which enriched the routing mechanism in the ESB.(2) This frame overcomes the problem of tight coupling caused by traditional integration models between data and business logic. This paper uses Service Data Objects (SDO) to implement an update on the heterogeneous data sources. It enables application systems information more flexibly and collaboratively.(3) This article also solves the problem of packaging the legacy systems and new systems of systems in enterprises based on the framework of the ESB-SOA. We also introduce the conversional process of information transmission protocol.Finally, a prototype system example is also given and analyzed in the end of the paper. It verifies the feasibility and effectiveness of application integration frame based on ESB-SOA. This frame is not a secondary development of legacy systems, but reuses its function. It also realizes a cross-platform with loose coupling during the process of information transmission and improves the flexibility of information sharing.
