Traditional Chinese Medicine Prescription Data Mining

Object:To reveal the clinical law of compatibility of Chinese herbs in typhoid and help theoretical science or TCM physician.Method:1. The dissertation used the investigation of TCM literature,and adopted retrospective study.2. All the data are from Dictionary of Traditional Chinese Medicine Prescription.3. Pretreatment data:we normally described the names of syndroms,prescriptions,and herbs.4. Computer processed data and established database.5. The methods of data processing included frequency analysis,frequent item set and analysis of the association rule.We used analysis of the association rule to analyze herbs combination to discover a clinical law of compatibility of the herbs.Result:We got 188 Chinese herbs and 4242 association rules.We got 189 composition rules of the herds which belong to the six meridians of typhoid .Conclusion:1. Ephedra is the core herbs of taiyang Disease.The compatibility of Ephedra & Guizhi is the core rule of taiyang Disease. Ephedra Decoction is the core prescription of taiyang Disease.2. Aconite is the core herbs of Shaoyin Disease. The compatibility of Ginger & Aconite is the core rule of Shaoyin Disease. Sini Decoction is the core prescription of Shaoyin Disease.3. Gypsum is the core herbs of Yangming Disease. The compatibility of Zhimu & gypsum is the core rule of Yangming Disease.Baihu Decoction is the core prescription of Yangming Disease.4. Bupleurum is the core herbs of Shaoyang Disease. Ginger is the auxiliary herbs of Shaoyang Disease. Xiao Chai Hu Decoction is the core prescription of Shaoyang Disease.5. Analysis of the association rule is Suitable to analyze the combinations of herbs.
