Along with the development of automotive electronic technology, automotive electronic control units are more and more. The communications between them are increasingly complex day by day; the traditional single point-to-point mode cannot meet the requirements of current electronic control units. Controller Area Network applied in vehicle has solved the communication problem between each control unit and given an effective way to make the vehicle control components intelligent and networking. Vehicle operation condition is complex and changeable; the traditional motor meter provides limited information, future on-board information platform is developing toward vehicle intelligent terminal which integrates traffic information, video entertainment, GPS navigation and fault diagnosis.This thesis chose vehicle terminal based on CAN bus as research object, mainly has done some work as follow:Firstly, this thesis introduces the current status and development trends of domestic and foreign vehicle electronic technology, analyses and compares the features of current vehicle network technology and field bus, choose CAN bus to build the vehicle network for this project.Secondly, according to SAE J1939 technical specifications, this thesis formulates a reasonable application layer protocol, distributes the identifier reasonably and makes reasonable definition of on-board information data domain for five nodes.Thirdly, according to the function demand of vehicle intelligent terminal, this thesis designs the overall hardware scheme,makes reasonable selection for the hardware components and tries to reduce the cost of the system. Also, this paper designs the hardware connection between CAN modules, takes anti-interference measures according to the interference factor.After that, this thesis designs related software for system, including system initialization, CAN messages sending and receiving procedures, then uses LabVIEW virtual instrument to design a set of man-machine interface, monitoring the traffic information real-timely, alarming automatically under dangerous condition. Finally, this thesis makes simulation test for the system, the result shows that the system works reliably, the collection and display of information is accurate, the design is practical and innovative.Vehicle intelligent terminal has certain research significance and market value, also has a relatively broad application prospect. The writer hopes this paper's research can provide some Suggestions and reference for domestic vehicle intelligent terminal research work.
