With the rapid development of network technology and the sudden rise of embedded digital processing platform, the video monitoring system is developing in the direction of digitization, systematization, integration, network and intelligence. In order to be successful, digital video requires four main elements: namely, high-performance processors, efficient development tools and software as well as systematic expertise. The emergency of DaVinci technology makes a reality that the four elements gather on the same platform. The system-on-chip of TI not only optimizes digital video but also integrates the ARM processor, programmable digital signal processor and video acceleration co-processor, which meets the requirement of large amounts of data processing capability when digital video coders and decoders.Based on the above requirements and at the same time in order to avoid problems and defects existing in the traditional video monitoring system and make it better applied to our lives and work, the present system adopts the following design:(1) Adopt TI's Davinci 6446 as a video capture server(2) Adopt the latest H264 video codec technology(3) Adopt sip protocol to establish server-side and client-side session(4) Adopt RTP / RTCP streaming media transmission protocol(5) Adopt the wireless network to conduct system connection.(6) Adopt smart phone as a video monitoring clientIn the video server, DaVinci DM6446 as video acquisition terminal performs the function of video collection, compression, transmission and other functions. Video server is mainly divided into four modules: SIP control module, video capture module, video encoding module and data transfer module. The video encoding module is realized in the DSP system of DaVinci. And video capture module, SIP control module and data transmission module are implemented in the ARM system. On the client, the smart phone of HTC T7278 as a receiver performs video receiver, decoding, playback function and other functions. Client is composed of three modules, including SIP control module, the data receiver module and the player module. Three modules are implemented in the windows mobile system.As for video server and client, the sending and receiving of video data are based on RTP / RTCP transmission control protocol. Client playback module uses the Directshow framework.From the experimental results can be seen , in the local area network the mobile client can receive the video stream that the video server sends . The mobile client can be played steady as real good and clear image quality, can meet the requirements of real-time monitoring.
