From the outbreak of the Opium War in 1840 to the foundation of New China in 1949,100 years, China suffered a dark age, such as a heavy storm. Generations literati of China can't bear to seen their home destroyed by deep crisis. They bravely used "the silver tongue, seven inch of the pipe "involved in discussing politics, eagerly joined into Public opinion and used modern news papers as communication tools to point out problems, salvaging of community supervision. The style which literati comment with the newspaper, express the idea of salvation, and the patriotism spirit of independence, the pursuit of freedom of expression, it is the ideological core of modern Chinese newspaper "literati discussing politics". From the "Daily Cycle", "Current Affairs" to "Ta Kung Pao", and "Observation", the time span of 70 years, Wang Tao, Qichao Liang, Chiluan Chang, Anping Chu and other journalists is the outstanding representatives. Although they didn't have the same concept, the responsibility to press public opinions through the newspapers to achieve supporting nation and society had never changed, at the same time, it is the essence of "literati discussing politics". The practice of newspapers and journalists of the "literati discussing politics", not only writes a glorious history of Chinese communication industry, but also has deep inspiration for the development of modern news communication.
