CAI Software About Arrival And Departure Of Trains And Shunting Work

Arrival and departure of trains are important factors in railway traffic system. With the development of railway transportation, qualified and well-trained railway staffs are needed for the efficiency, security and reliability of the train operation.In railway vocational colleges, lessons about arrival and departure of trains and shunting assignments are very important. In most time, the practice is carried out by the way of view the demo at the locale or in a lab. At the actual locale of railway, students only can view, and not be allowed to practice. In lab, the practice can not match the theory on time. Even in some college there is no any practice field. In order to strengthen the intuitive teaching and improve the practice actuality, it is urgent to develop a simulating system which is economic, efficient, full-featured and without limitation on time and field. This thesis focuses on the implement of CAI software about Arrival and departure of trains and shunting work.Firstly, this paper analyzes the requirement and the function of the system model, and put forward a system model according to the content and procedure about arrival and departure of trains and shunting work. Secondly, this thesis describes the data model and design of database. Finally a low-cost simulating platform about arrival and departure of trains and shunting work is completed, which is developed with C# language, supported by Windows XP of Chinese version and Microsoft Visual studio 2005. The main content is following: (1) Simulation sand table, including six virtual railway stations. The interface of the model is dynamic, changing with the original data. So it can display the model information partly or entirely according to the user's choice.(2) Simulating console:it can display the console of the station according to its original data. You can implement the simulating operation on the console. It also has an algorithm which can search and produce a route automatically.(3) Auto run ability of the virtual trains:after finishing the work of arrival and departure of trains, the virtual trains will run automatically according to the route produced before.(4) Data input and data maintenance:user can add new data or refresh data at any time to realize its extensibility.The system is reliable and stable during operation. It not only satisfies the school teaching but also provides a practical platform for the railway workers'training.
