Standardization has been in all respects to bring a lot of convenience, people are accustomed to using a unified service.Network video can be said in this regard has just started, but the standard is to promote the enormous benefits of its rapid development. Many organizations have realized that in the video surveillance, which will bring huge business opportunities, so all keen to put forward their own plan to trade promotion. Recently Open Network Video Interface Forum (ONVIF) proposed its own standards, and soon has received the support of many enterprises. The protocol is based on Web services framework, described by using WSDL web service definition language and XML language, and transmitted by SOAP protocol. The use of SOAP request/response transmission mechanism, has strict implementation process to ensure a unified common interface as the compatibility and reliability.By analyzing the understanding of ONVIF agreement, in the development of Web services application client, we designed the service functions of this protocol. Through the interaction with the server and client, improvement of various of ONVIF Web services client implementations. By analyzing the client's access and control of equipment service, finding the universal values and defects of protocol. This can motivate the development and application of ONVIF.The purpose of the ONVIF protocol development is to achieve device-level interaction, the agreement focuses on compatibility in all products. Since the architecture and implementation of the process is much complicated, developing and debugging the client may meet a lot of difficulties.Taking into account existing agreements or programs relyed on uniform standards to support the client to achieve this design, we use of the existing open source solutions live555 and gSOAP code generated Tool to simplify the development work. Experiment results show that the implementation method of the application of ONVIF protocol meets the goal of itself.
