Design And Implementation Of Logistics Distribution Tracking System For COSL

This paper is based on the material distribution tacking system project for the supply center of China Oilfield Service Limited (abbreviated COSL). After a detailed investigation and analysis of current business flows, an explicit view of details in every single flow is acquired, where existing problems are figured out. The paper then puts forward an information-based business flow restructuring solution, which actually deeps information mining and satisfies demands from every single flow while keeping essentially the same profile.With consideration of operation requirements of COSL staffs, system design is launched including design of network structure, business flows, technique selection and deployment solution. The electronic product catalog idea solves the inaccuracy problem of purchase orders. Besides, the design and implementation of RF terminal acquisition system realizes barcode scanning, data uploading while products are delivered in and out of warehouses. This solution is supposed to install a customer-side widget on every handheld scanning terminal which will call the IIS Webservice function to fulfill data collection and saving and it establishes the company bar code system.The web information system is the core topic of the paper, which is B/S structure built with platform independent J2EE technology. The system consists of functional sub-modules like access control security, product electronic catalog, intelligent documents recognition, and distribution tracking, etc and realizes tracing of distribution information.In a word, this tracking system realizes collection, processing, statistics, tracking and inquiry, etc, of documentation information in logistics process, which meets the enterprise requirements to material distribution. At the same time, the advanced techniques adopted in system development are directive for future information system development.
