| With the development of technology and the popularity of Internet applications and the extending of network scale, network structure became more and more complex, and management and maintenance of the network become more and more difficult and important. As an important technology, network management system greatly affects the development of network. Using proper system, we can make full use of all kinds of network resource. Web NMS is a good comprehensive network management solution which consists of different functional components, among the various components work together to provide a complete network management capabilities.This thesis builds the system structure for fault management subsystem based on Web NMS platform with the idea of modules by cutting the system into proper modules and makes an expatiation of some parts of fault management with Java. Some original code also is given this thesis.In order to maintain the flexibility of fault handling, fault management subsystem framework supports filter and parser plugged in easily. Events and alerts will be generated when the data collected from the network are processed through the filter, the parser and the correlator. Events and alerts generated will be sent to the client or other pointed receivers. With the help of fault management subsystem, much handwork is saved and at the same time the fault control efficiency is greatly enhanced. Users can make personal setting to get the user interface of the events and the alerts as they need. With this function, end users can make the fault control system even more efficient. With the statistic analysis function, administrators can look though the events and the alerts history and make equipments fault's statistic to fit for different demand. It is greatly helpful to analysis networks, equipments'performance. |
