As the network enormously evolved, the scale and complexity of networks has increased greatly. Research on network performance attracts a large attention. It was 70s of last century, the concept of network performance first clearly proposed. Now, this area has greatly developed. Methods of measuring network performance have been categorized from different perspectives and the parameters that quantitatively measuring network performance has been proposed by expert groups.TWAMP is proposed by IETF work group to measure two-way metrics between network devices. This protocol is based on OWAMP. It avoids realizing time synchronization. The separation of control-protocol and test-protocol, also the independence of the four logic entities adds a great flexibility to the deployment of TWAMP.This paper first presents the end-to-end model structure of TWAMP according to RFC5357. Then on this basis, we proposed the TWAMP whole-network model structure. We commit to resolve the problem occurred in this procession:probe management, measurement task issuing and data gathering. At last, we'll measure network performance on this platform.
