| At present, protocol testing plays an important role to guarantee the correct implementation of protocol. In the traditional environment of protocol testing, test user need to develop or buy test tool, and then put test tool and SUT (system under test) in the same place or in one local network, moreover, test user has to learn how to use test tool and how to make all the configuration, and the procedure of configuration is very complicated for most of tests.With the development of Internet and its applications, more and more traditional services have been combined with network, such as digital electronic systems, virtual labs, office services, enterprise services, etc, which form many new kinds of application and bring people much efficiency, convenience and much lower cost.In this paper, a remote test system for protocol testing is proposed aiming at resolving some problems of traditional testing system, for example high cost of putting test tool and SUT (system under test) in a local network, high complexity of configuration and the low efficiency of test. With the system, test applicant is able to submit the test request remotely, no matter where is the location of SUT. The entire test is carried out using Internet, breaking the limitation of the traditional testing system, which requires SUT is connected directly with testing system in a local area network. It is simple and efficient. Users do not need to develop or buy tools on their own, and moreover, they do not need to bring their SUT to testing location, which might far from her/his localityThis remote test system aims to provide stronger service ability, versatile configuration functions, centralized user management and configuration, and most importantly for users, the lighter workload. However, remote testing system might cause some other problems such as additional network delay, packet loss, and the limitation of transmission capability. In this paper, we also propose some solutions to solve all these problems. |
