The first task of radar is to distinguish radar useful target among the reflection background of noise and useful target (such as the waves and the rain). The modern marine radar system requires the radar system can detect weak echo signal from strong clutter effectively, in order to improve detection rate. Only in this way, radar can provide effective goal orientation, distance, trajectory and so on. Therefore, improving radar detection ability has the vital significance.This paper research is from "marine radar signal processing method in the digital intermediate frequency" (project code:2007329225010), the ministry of science and technology from basic research project. These follows are my work:Firstly, combined with the needs of the background, this paper discusses and simulates sea clutter in amplitude and phase characteristic simulation. In sea clutter range characteristics, we mainly discuss Rayleigh distribution, Weibull distribution, Log-distribution and K distribution. And then discuss the low speed small target clutter background of the amplitude and phase change. The results of simulation and theory are respectively compared in time domain and frequency. After at all, the simulation results are ideal, achieve the expected effect.Secondly, in the constant false-alarm detection, after discussing he relationship between false-alarm probability and found probability, and the characteristics of radar signal processing, accumulated through relevant discussed the constant false-alarm detection and many distribution under the type of radar clutter, as a result we improve the radar detection range in the detection.Thirdly, explore the phase detection method (namely reference phase comparison method). The basic idea is mainly using radar echo signal phase information through solution with the winding slope and scattering body the Doppler center frequency, target echo the distance of the unit phase changes than no target echo the phase change slow distance unit on the features of the testing phase change echo, so as to achieve the purpose of testing goal. With a lot of experimental verification, the number of different sampling is compared, and tries to find out the best sampling length.
