The Research And Analysis Of Solutions In GSM Network Congestions

Optimizing the network plays an important role in the development of communicational network, of which the solution of channel congestions is of major concern. Channel congestions affect the quality of the net which makes cell phones' trouble to get access to the net. Constant channel congestions will cause the operators lose their reputation and the trust and loyalty from customers, which, in a long run, may lead to the drain of customers and economic losses. Hence, the solution of channel congestions arouses the concern in optimizing the communicational network and the development of the operators.In this article, the author analyses both the theoretical and the practical reasons of the channel congestions, using the figures from China Unicom (Ulanqab City), the analysis and solution of TCH and SDCCH channel congestions are concluded on the bases of practical operations. This article discusses the mutual solutions of TCH and SDCCH channel congestions and their specific solutions separately. Finally, a solution flowchart is concluded so as to give guidance and indications in practice.The mutual solutions that been discussed in this article can be applied in both TCH and SDCCH channel congestions to lessen the channel congestion ratio, or decrease the time used in solving the congestions. The article first describes the definition of TCH and SDCCH channel congestions and how they are caused, then offered solutions based on theoretical basis, then validate the solutions by practical examples and evaluate the validity this solution offers, and finally an overall solution is concluded.
