Along with the development of the automotive industry, people of requirements that the vehicle performance reliability and home driving comfort and so on is becoming more and more high.More and more people focus on automobile electronic intelligence currently. The traditional communication technology can not cope with current complex electronic device.The CAN bus is a distributed and real-time control effectively supports technology. It has strong anti-jamming capability, high reliability, the simple structure and communications speed advantages.So it is paid more attention by people. Traditional car instruments with the development of the field bus technology and electronic equipment face huge challenges. The ensuing based on CAN bus. This intelligent instrument of function is strong and good effect on its research and development. It also has very long-term significance.According to the principle of combining vehicle operation and automatic control method, embedded technology in the intelligent instrument information display system. Based on the safety operation of the factors and affecting its safe operation with concerned, intelligent vehicle that shows clearly system needs to realize of the function of the requirements and characteristics. The paper firstly introduced this topic source and significance as well as research background and development trend. It also described the electronic equipment and current situation of the development of the intelligent instrument. It compares abroad and Chinese level of development of the intelligent instrument. We are still in need of improvement using in electronic communications of CAN bus and LIN bus principle and application. It combines on-board electronic, computer network, sensing measurement and control of its technological achievements,research, absorption, and making full use of, developed based on CAN bus, MC9S12DG128 Motorolal6 bit micro-controller for CPU of car instrument information system. This system has the intelligence information, information using the bus scheduling and sharing, on-board supervisory system of the fault display and diagnosis and other functions. In software design and application, the use of embedded operating systemμC/OS-Ⅱ, which in order to make the system more stable operation and more security. It realized system micro control implement inμC/OS-Ⅱ.This system of the various auto information contain speed, temperature and the amount of oil, the battery voltage parameters, such as collection, processing, display and alarm prompt. Drivers can make the corresponding action according to these show results in order to make automobiles to safer driving. Using the touch screen display, each face boundary interface can flexible switch.It solved problems the on-board comprehensive information display large quantity is not comprehensive and bring interface shows the inconvenience of slow system response operation shortcomings. The system also set to on-board CAN interface to download and system information updated and communications.
