With advances in computer science and technology, China's shipping industry has been tremendous development, According to incomplete statistics, recently the number of ships and the ships'densities of major ports in China continue to increase and show a rising trend, Therefore, the safety of the ship's navigation are faced with more and more attention.The shipping companies have an urgent need to predominate the ships in the port to provide protection to the ship's safety on the voyage. Electronic chart technology has been great progress, coupled with the popularity of computer networks and extensive application, This is bound to the ship for the application of real-time monitoring system provides the technical support, the traditional platforms of the chart display and ships dynamic supervisory in the C/S mode have improved the navigation security of the ships greatly as the mainstream. But given the increase in user demand and timeliness and other factors, the traditional C/S mode chart user monitoring platform can not meet the various needs. In the Internet environment, based on B/S mode Web applications began to be known. the significance and necessity of the Web-based chart platform for development and research was to be proposed by comparing the functionalCharacteristics under the two models, then studying and comparising of various implementations using web application technology. At last, Web-based application platform for the chart display has been builded, This thesis mainly include:(1) Based on the technology of Electronic Chart tiler conjoining, through the analysis of GDAL tools'open source libraries, based on open source integration software such as Global Mapper,MapTiler complete the S-57 map tiler cutting and tiered storage.(2) Taking into account the efficiency of network transmission, the system uses Javascript client-side programming techniques, Combined with openlayers library use, presents a Web-based electronic chart display program, Asynchronous requests using Ajax technology to complete a quick chart shows the zoom to achieve Web electronic charts, drag and concerns marked the basic operations. (3) The display according to the specific requirements of the external storage devices such as AIS and other information communication to the electronic chart overlay, in the AIS data to achieve the dynamic update of the premise, to achieve in large scale Web Chart AIS ship display mode, and achieve good User experience.By exploring and concrete practice, this paper basically solved the Web-based map display issues, and the integration of AIS ship overlay display information and charts for the further realization of B/S mode of cross-platform, cross-regional application of real-time monitoring of ships Basis.
