| With the rapid development of maritime technology, computer technology andimage processing technology, the electronic chart which describes geographicinformation in digital form and the electronic chart application systems have beenbrought out to the world. Electronic chart is more visual, intuitive, flexible whencompared with traditional paper charts, and its importance has attracted worldwideattention. Electronic chart database is used to store electronic chart data, it is the basis ofthe electronic chart application system and determines its functionality andperformance.Firstly, this paper introduces the background and significance of the developmentof the electronic chart, presents the importance of researching the spatial database whichstores electronic chart data, analyses the characteristics of electronic chart data,compares the common electronic chart storage technology and space indexingtechniques, because the domestic embedded database TY-RDB lacks the spatial datamanagement ability, we introduce a disk page manager and the R-tree index to solvethat problem, and use the Shapefile format electronic chart data as the source data,weset up a spatial database, establish the centrally storage of Shapefile format electronicchart data in the TY-RDB database.Finally, this paper puts forward the test process and results of the spatial datamanagement capabilities of the TY-RDB database, proves that correctness of theproposed method, and summarizes the areas for improvement and work expectations oflate. |
