With the development of infrared-detection technology,using of infrared system in military and civil fields become more and more extensive. Detection technique of small target can improve detection ability of infrared system.In that case, Detection technique of small target has become the hot research area at present.Combined with a infrared surveillance system,this paper makes modeling and analysis to infrared images outputed by the system.The system has requests of high frame rate, large volume of data,real-time performance,those requests make complicated spatial algorithm and temporal domain algorithms can't get well use in the system. To actual requirements,only simple,reliable, universally applicable temporal domain algorithms can use to detect.This paper makes key researchs of detect way which use high pass filter to inhibit background noise,detect way which based on Top-Hat filter,and the target detect way which based on edge detection.A fusion entropy criterion is put forward, use the three commonly used spatial domain single-frame detecting dim small targets to parallel process images,to get the final detection result through data fusion of the detection results get from the three algorithms. Experiment shows that after fusion algorithm processing,the system can improve detection probability greatly,and to reduce false alarm rate.Meanwhile,analysis and comparison to blind pixel are made, blind pixel is similar with small target,which makes great disturbance to target detection.This paper use realtime blind pixel detect algorithm to detect and compensate blind pixel,which eliminated the disturbance from blind pixel.Algorithm for system requirements and needs, this article design DSP-based hardware architecture to implement algorithms. Core processing devices for the TI's TMS320C6455. And the processing speed and storage capacity of the system leaves room for further expansion, the system can reliably and quickly complete the infrared small target detection alarm.Considering about requirements of the system and the algorithms,this paper designed a hardware framework to realize the algorithms,which based on DSP.The core component of the framework is TMS320C6455,produced by the company of TI.It leaves extended space for disposeing speed and the system's storage capacity,it also makes the system can detect small and weak infrared target reliably and quickly.
