Research And Design Of Gateway For Smart Home System Based On ARM And LINUX

With the continuous development of Internet technology, and the increasing popularity of IPV6, the Internet has provided the extremely perfect network support for the embedded technology. So the union of Internet technology and embedded technology will inevitably lead to the revolutionary development for household equipments--household equipments's intelligent network. Intelligent household system is a typical application domain embedded system and Internet network technology perfect union.This article will combine embedded systems, ZigBee technology and Internet techniques to realize intelligent household. Emphasizes to discuss intelligent household control system based on the ARM processor core——the design and implementation of intelligent household Gateway's software and hardware. Not like the traditional Gateway device, in our system, intelligent household Gateway can provide HTTP service, so it become a Webserver. Users can landing on intelligent household Gateway with any one of the PC online. User who login can send instructions to intelligence equipment through intelligent home network Gateway. Gateway process user instructions and then give the instructions to the ZigBee cood who will send equipment operation instructions.so, it realize the equipment control. Through regular data report on key parameters, we realize the data monitor. Also the Gatway provide the support for operating mode so we realize the intellectualized control for the furniture equipment.In this paper, first, we give simple introduced to the smart home,and the history of intelligent household is discussed in this paper. Then the system needs and general function orientation are analysed. Then I give the hardware circuit design based on the ARM processor. The next key is ARM platform software realization. Including three main contents:(1) the linux operation system on S3C2440 processor and making root filesystem. (2) to realize the formation of Webserver to provide HTTP service. (3) realize the communication protocols downward to ZigBee to realize communication with the intelligent household equipment node.
