With the rapid economic development, technological advances as well asincreasing living standard, people’s household requirements on safety,convenience, comfort, efficiency are also increasingly high. So “intelligenthousehold” starts from a idea into a market requirement. Now, computer, internetwork, sensor technology develops,field bus communication technology maturesand consumption level as well as idea improves, all these lay a solid technical andmaterial foundation for the market demand. Therefore, a “let flowers blossom andschools of thought contend” picture appears in the intelligent household field.however, the non-uniform standard,technical level, consumption level have made acertain restriction on the prosperity of the industry.The main goal of the Intelligent household system is to provide service for thehousehold life, making living environment more comfortable and safer. Takingthese factors as easy scalability, practicability, reliability, cost, volume, powerconsumption, development difficulty into consideration, the paper put forward acomplete set of solutions with using ARM+Linux, CAN bus network,microcontroller, sensors, QT, WEB remote monitoring technology. And it isprogrammed and constructed by local area network and come the result that thescheme is feasible. This system consists of gateway/control center module, CANcommunication interface module, terminal control module, and realizes thefunctions of remote monitoring, local touch screen monitoring, indoor temperatureand humidity monitoring, smoke monitoring, video monitoring, intelligent lightingcontrol and automatic curtain control.Along with the development of society and the progress of science, people’srequirements of life also increase quickly. So we have considered to design aintelligent household system both to meet the people’s living requirements and tomake the system upgrade easily in the designing phase. In order to solve thisproblem, the following system uses the S3C2440as the main control chip at thegateway module, Supervivi as Bootloader, embedded Linux as operating systems,QT application as upper touchpad GUI, DM9000nic as Ethernet interface to realizethe remote web monitoring, the expansion CAN bus driver interface of the gateway is made by SPI+MCP2510+PCA82C50interface, the bottom terminal controlmodules are used by CAN board.Finally, the design scheme of this intelligent household system is verified interms of its function and performance. Results show that the system can meet thefunction demand and fit the technical index. Eventually the results demonstrate thatthe system is stable and reliable with the advantages of low cost, high performance,easy implementation.
