The Research Between The Chinese Mass Media And Government Credibility: During The Period Of The Social Transformation

It is government credibility (GC) that is an important issue in the research of public administration, of which will give us a directly influence to the government reputation.For a long time, China has ignored this issue under china's traditional management style. After China's reform and opening-up, there had great changes taken place in both economic and political fields, especially in China's market economy improvement. With the economy reform and information explosion, people's value had also changed a lot, they used a quite new and deep perspective to this new trends, which also give us a new evaluation to the GC.However, the matter of GC is not only in china, but s a widespread matter cross the world, as long as the development of the social transformation and new-media's popularity, new style of government management has also changed a lot, which gave a big influence to the government credibility.It should be first clarify the conception of Credibility in this paper, including evaluation criteria, mechanism and the role of its relationship, "public", "trust" and "force" are basic content and the beginning of this study, meanwhile, government, mass media and public are three important factors in this problem.This paper is based on the increasingly happened public crisis and social contradictions during nowadays society, especially after the emerging of network, the author proposed this topic, is try to take some research of the credibility problem. After communicating with my teacher, I had a clear thinking about this matter, which under the special national conditions, there is a quite different thing between China and other countries, such as the mechanism of the Government's credibility, the role of the environment, and so on.People had a deep review and evaluation of the community to the Social conflicts when they found many new problems, as long as the media's commercialization and independent operations, a group of "objections to consciousness" public and media, whose rational thinking formed a credibility problem for the new government's views, and the government had promoted a more positive direction toward reform, still, the mass media has played an important role on it. So, this paper is try to use the episode analysis style to promote the question, in order to put forward to address the importance of government credibility and reform methods.In this research, this paper combines the macro and micro way to this problem, in the perspectives of the government, the media, and the public, by comparing the traditional and the modern period of social transition of the specific background from the system and put forward both the moral and principle ideas to reshaping the credibility of the government.
