With the continuous development of Ethernet technology, the applications of Ethernet technology is moving from LAN to MAN. Since Ethernet technology is based on packet switching, there are some congenital defects, such as: delay, jitter, packet arrival order of inconsistencies and other issues,when it carrise circuit services. The connection-oriented features that Carrier Ethernet has provide packet network new ideas to resolve problems that exsist in packet netwotk when carrying circuit traffic.In order to resolve the problems that exsist in PBB/PBT metro netwotk when carrying circuit traffic,this thesis proposes an access control mechnism.In this mechnism, user proposed bandwidth request for each specific business,then provider use dynamic programming algorithm to dicide which requests can be permited,according user priority and the size of bandwidth.The results show that this mechnism can take full advantage of bandwidth,and allocate bandwidth to user equally.Then, against the single link failure problem exists in PLSB which is an extension technology of PBT,this thesis proposes an idea that establish an temporary path to reduce the affect of service which caused by disconnection and temporary loop. The results show that this method is effective for large-scale network.
