Research On Behavior Characteristics Of Mobile Virus And Countermeasures On Network

With the increasingly fuzzy boundary of the internet and mobile network,security challenges of mobile network have been noticed. Endless malicious chargescaused by mobile virus bring crisis of credibility to the telecom operators. Therefore,telecom operators put more effort into defense of mobile virus. Protection demandcannot be satisfied by firewall and invasion detection technology, which cannoteffectively prevent mobile virus propagating on mobile network. This paper aims atthe transmission and behavior characteristics of mobile virus, and studies how todetect and prevent mobile virus on network side.By analyzing transmission and behavior characteristics of mobile virus, thispaper summarizes the trait on MMS, SMS, and GPRS record, which can differentiatebetween mobile virus and normal operation. On this basis, this paper designs a simpleand effective solution to detect viruses based on behavior characterization analysing,and figures out a solution to eliminate mobile viruses on network side, including virusdetection, virus analysis, and virus interception. Finally, implement the virus detectionsystem integrating with the above mentioned methods. And experimental results showthe proposed method is effective.This paper aims at the behavior characteristics of mobile virus, and proposes anovel strategy to eliminate mobile viruses on network side. The strategy takes fulladvantage of existing resources, so that it can improve the virus-defense mechanismon network side with less cost. The design in this paper is effective and innovative. Itis advantageous to the development of value-added services and promotion ofoperator’s brand image.
