The Research And System Realization Of Cell Coverage Optimization Of GSM Network

With the continuing increase in mobile subscribers, network size continues to expand, wireless communications environment and the distribution of users changes, prices and tariffs of mobile terminals greatly reduce, the user claims high quality on the networks, in addition, increasingly fierce competition comes out between various mobile telecom operators, network optimization has become the decisive factor which telecom operator can take the initiative position in the competition. A good communication network is not only the foundation to provide users with high-quality communications, but also the protection for telecom operators to get good economic and social benefits.In mobile networks, each district has its own coverage.One important factor of mobile communications'quality is cell coverage, such as cross-boundary coverage, critical coverage, less coverage and so on. Therefore, in the mobile communication networks, to determine the coverage area in a rational, scientific way is critical for network optimization.In this paper, Chapter four introduces several ways to analyze cell coverage:through the analysis of azimuth, the distance between residential and OMC data, find the districts that have coverage problems. Compared to the traditional methods, for example, road test, the method proposed here is has low cost, real strong, intuitive display and series of advantages. Chapter five describes the process of implementing these methods, and GSM network cell coverage and analysis system.This system has been applied to the GSM network optimization analysis system projects, and has been verified in current networks.
