With the increase of network users and the increase of kinds of network services, people find that the deficiency of network resource causes the network problem. But since the network undertakes the responsibility of real-time transmission, it is impossible to update the network equipments or change the network structure with the appearance of new devices and new technology, because of the high cost of network resource. In the preliminary stage during the founding of physical network, the technology limit is inevitable to lead to some certain network problem. Many elements will affect the utilization of network resource in various degrees, just like the variety of service, defferent vendors of instruments, the population congestion and so on. The other serious problem is the waste of resource because the existence of virtual connection. During the past long time, due to the operatoe system, the decentralized management of the network resource leads to the waste of network resource. So it becomes the new research emphasis that how to raise the network resource utilization by the way of network resource management.Now the key work is how to make use of the limited communication resource to realize the traffic transimission and taffic protection, and meet the user request in maximum.According to the scanning papers in the international magazine and international meeting, people pay more attention to the research of network topology management planning or the traffic merging and loading. Network topology is refferd to the optimazition of network management system, traffic merging is aimed to the algorithm. These researchs is biased in favor of theory. But it needs to pay more attention to the network element in the true transmission network, and it also needs to configure the whole network stream transimission in the global perspective or in the aspect of project.In this paper, on the basis of ASON transimission network, when configuring the carrier networks, by the way of network topology configuration or network dividing, realize the maxium utilization of network resource and guarantee the traffic transmission and protection. It mainly includes the following topics:1. Design the configuration algorithm of dividing-subnet in the carrier network.2. Design the algorithm of the subnet planning based on the node throughput fistribution.3. Realize the function of subnet configuration and the protection and recuperation to the traffic on the ASONP software platform.
