In Ad-Hoc network, each node role as a router, the packet is forwarded by many nodes,as a result, this will consume a large amount of network resources.Demanded routing protocol is researched wide range for its low power and network bandwidth consumption. This mobility of the node and the unreliability of the wireless channel leads to many routing changes in Ad-Hoc network, but the existing route repair mechanisms may solve this problem, but it imports another problem: the broadcast stream. And it will take up many computing and bandwidth resources of network, and our backup routing could effectively solve this problem.First,we present Ad-Hoc network features and AODV; Then based on the basic framework of AODV-UU,we design and implement a new routing backup mechanism. Finally, the network testbed is builded, based on this,we compare our backup routing with repair mechanisms in AODV-UU.This paper contributions on three aspects:a more comprehensive on-demand design,by transmission of data, not the routing message,to trigger the switch of backup route;full backup of network nodes, the routing information is backuped on some node,as opposed to only back up the source nodes, this enhance the reliability of network; in the Linux platform, based on AODV-UU implements the backup routing protocol,we optimize the design and implementation of the backup route in the process the route creation and maintain. We could maintain the latest route to the destination, using the mechanisms we present. When the route is invalid, the backup node queues the packet and triggers the backup route to the main route, and continues to forward the packet, this is the main cost of our backup in routing repair. There is no increase in network bandwidth contention.Through the principle analysis and testbed test, the protocol we proposed can effectively reduce the routing time to repair, and finally improve network performance.
