As a radio transmission, the shortwave communication is mainly achievd by the skyware ionospheric reflection. And it has longer communication distance, larger coverage area, and operates at a lower cost. In order to improve the unsteady quality of channels, The U.S. military protocol MIL-STD-188-141B has defined the technology parameters of the 3rd shortware communication generation. But this area in China still requires further research and development. Therefore this paper has further researched and implemented the American standard and Chinese military protocol GJB 2077A-2007.Firstly comparing the 3rd generation and the 2nd shortware communication generation in automatic link establishment field, the paper explains the system architecture and function modules. Secondly, it has interpreted the core technologies of 3rd generation, including network synchronization, channel scanning, linked communication. Furthermore, the shortware communication platform is consisted by hardware chips and software modules. This paper introduces the kernel principle of hardware chips and periphery connection, and explans the working mechanism of the software modules. Finally, it focuses on the shorware communication platform realization from top to bottom. It descripes the process of porting the embedded operation system, graphic user interface, file system and Ethernet kernel protocol modules into the custom ARM hardware chips, explaining the achievement and management among multi-process, researching and implementing network synchronization, and communication process under synchronous and asynchronous mode.
