With the development of shipping industry, GPS has become an important guarantee for the safety of navigation in the ship ocean navigation. GPS can be widely used in the ship ocean voyages, because it provides accurate location information of the ship, exact timing. GPS can make an accurate calculation for the ship's navigation parameters, in order to ensure that the vessels sail on a schedule routes.According to the reality of the shipping industry, this paper analyzes the GPS navigation simulated system that plays the role in the ship navigation and the practical value in the driver training. The system which based on the Visual Studio 2008 platform using,C# programming language, finished the design of the simulation system based on the GPS navigation device.The simulation software provides the user with a route design, waypoint markers and the ship sailing condition data which including local position, speed, course, trip information, and cross track error alarm. The simulation software design focuses on the design of routes, the user can accord to their demands, select the appropriate route design method to determine their own navigation routes. Usually Mercator used in low latitude regions sailing, in high latitudes use mixed sailing or the great circle navigation. This software is designed with MVC design pattern, the system models were divided into three layers, model layer, the control layer and the view layer. In the model layer the system established the property navigation parameters data model, and designed the corresponding Sql sever relational database for data storage management. In the control layer completed the receive data of the serial port module, packet data processing, navigation parameters calculation, and operation the database include open, close, add, delete, query, update. The main function of the view layer is displayed, it was divided into two parts:the first part is the basic display interfaces, they used to display different user demand; the second part is the menu interface, as the man-machine interface for the user settings. Finally, this paper presents the pictures of the simulation system.
