Study Of Student Score Management Based On Data Mining Technology

As the rapid development of science and technology and the innovation of fields of education, greater and greater demand is becoming increasingly conspicuous of student score management. In the fierce competitions, how to adequately utilize current resources severing for founding a characteristic school and how to do a good job of administration has received considerable attention. Student grade management is still the most important and the first work in university teaching management. Research indicates that effective student grade management can specifically not only improve students'specific capability, guide teachers to articulate a science program and enhance the competitive power, but also serve students, schools and managers better. Data mining technology has applied in education domain in the last ten years, the goal of data mining is that change the data into useful information and knowledge from a large number of databases. Data mining not only can help people get useful information and knowledge from databases, but also can examine the matter from different angles. Then, people can use and analysis the data more effectively. In recent years, the emphases of student grade management has changed from traditional models of management to management pattern which relay mainly on data mining technology to mine effective data while making traditional management subsidiary. Data mining technology applied in student grade management is not only the need of itself development, but also the urgent demand to reform and innovation of education domain.Firstly, the results of previous researches are summarized and major problems in student score management are presented, the thesis expatiated on the definition of student score management, administrative range, administrative purposes and realization types. Secondly, proper algorithm is selected for the concrete question solving in the dissertation, giving the application of data mining in student grade management particularly and dig out the useful information from mass data. Finally, through the application of data mining technology, a study on 1230 students'score data is given. Decision tree model of students whether pass the CET- 6 or not is established. In order to mine interesting information, this paper deals with 11 students learning ability. All around learning abilities of the students is studied thoroughly which choose student score as assessing items, the algorithm provided references for student score management. The efforts in this paper are summarized; finally the disadvantages and future research directions in my report are discussed.To a certain degree, this paper extends the range and quality of data mining technology which applied in student grade management, which is very important to the theory and practice of the work of student grade management.
