With the global vehicle production continues to increase, the number of road traffic accidents is also growing. Now, the number of deaths due to traffic accidents has been ranked first in the number of non-natural causes of deaths every year. Statistical data show that the number of road traffic accidents and the death toll in China are tops in the world. Whether in the world or in China, road traffic accidents have become endanger people's lives and health of the important factors. In China there is no dedicated traffic accident information collection system. Most of the traffic accident data are from the police accident report. The main purpose of accident investigation is to help identify accident liability and compensation, very little information collected will be involved during an accident, cause of the accident and vehicle machinery, roads, and management information. Tools of polices'gathering information are relatively simple, acquisition method is difficult to achieve the required level of professional institute. The data accuracy and use value is not high to the research in the field of traffic safety. The research of road traffic accidents'data is imminent.Through in-depth investigation of road traffic accidents, this essay builds a multi-source road traffic accident data collection system:tracked before and after the accident, human-vehicle-road information on the evolution of the angle of the incident from the system process; designed integration standards for road traffic accident data; from the accident scientific researchs1 perspevtive, comprehensive descripde an accident involves human, vehicel, road, environment and other entities; selected the accident parameters that can ensure the accuracy of accident reconstruction; and designed specifications process of accurate data collection; designed the uneversal and normatice data integration standards.This article also developed a road traffic accident information database management system based on the road traffic accident data colletion; strated from the needs analysis, through the detailed design of system, completed the data entry, query, modify, store and print functions; implemented a basic statistical analysis functions based on database system data.
