Pervasive Computing is a comprehensive application of multiple technologiessuch as computing, communication and digital technology, aiming to a high degree ofintegration of information space and physical space. Computing and informationresources are so transparent to join into the daily life that people will less perceive theexistence of the computing systems and more focus on the current tasks.Context-aware computing is the key technology for pervasive computing. There is alot of contextual information in pervasive computing space, the main content ofcontext-aware computing is how to effectively use the context without interactionwith the computer to provide users with decision support.In this paper, context-aware computing is applied to the automotive environment.On the basis of the support of related scientific research project, this paper focuses onhow to build context-aware system frameworks, organize and use context effectively,model and reasoning, provide a ubiquitous computing service. First of all, the paperintroduces the concepts and research of the pervasive computing and context-awarecomputing. On this basis, a service-oriented context-aware computing systemframework model applied in automotive space is designed, and the key technologiesare discussed.The proposed framework model has universality adaptability and scalability. Itcan perceive the change of the environment, adaptively adjust and provide activeservice. The system framework could support acquisition and filtering, abstractionand modeling, fusion and reasoning, management and storage, effective utilization ofthe context, as well as adaptive adjustment function. The model includes three levels:Context Acquisition Layer, Context Information Processing Layer and ContextApplication Service Layer. Context Information Processing Layer models the contextusing ontology. Ontology-based context model can effectively support the context ofthe integration, sharing, reusing, reasoning and implementation servicesrecommended. The system discovers the change of the context information of users,resources and environmental factors, uses based on custom rules and ontology-basedmethod to reasoning. The reasoning process based on different context informationand user preferences personalizes the system configuration, and performs certaintyand uncertainty reasoning combined with the knowledge base and the historicalcontext. According to context reasoning results, recommends to the user for personalized service, to make information services more personalized and intelligent.The main work of this paper:(1) On the basis of demand analysis, establish a service-oriented context-awarecomputing system framework model applied in automotive space, and analyze thefunction of each layer in the framework.(2) Describe the acquisition method and the classification of the contextinformation, represent the original context in the form which can be understood bycomputers using RDF(S) and OWL. Propose a formal model on on the concept, otherentities, attributes and relationships of time, space, environment, equipment, users,services and other domain entities.(3) In the context reasoning process, using reasoning mechanism based onontology and custom rules, and mechanism based on probability to process Certaintyand uncertainty context reasoning.(4) Considering context information into the service recommendation algorithm,the impact of user preferences and context reasoning conclusions considered intocollaborative filtering and content-based filtering methods can improve the accuracyand satisfaction of the recommendation.(5) Implement the context of modeling, inference and service recommendationprocess of context-aware computing by simulation program, and validate the functionof the system in automotive space by a specific scene description.
